Cherri Gregg, Esq. is a known quantity in
the Greater Philadelphia region, serving as
the co-host of WHYY’s daily news show,
Studio 2, as well as an afternoon drive
news anchor for the station. An award-
winning journalist, Cherri has a
distinguished career covering civil rights,
social justice, race, poverty and public
affairs issues impacting marginalized
communities. She spent nearly a decade
on air at KYW Newsradio and several years
doing reports for CBS 3 Eyewitness News.

engine dedicated to amplifying the stories and
experiences of Black and brown people.
The firm’s
mission is to create journalism that exposes injustice,
educates and empowers communities, while sharing
narratives in a way that is both engaging and

designing and curating local media programs that
engage communities. CGM continues that work,
creating new and innovating programs. In addition to

"Flashpoint with Cherri Gregg" emerged as a dynamic addition to
KYW Newsradio in August 2017, marking its debut under the
stewardship of Cherri Gregg, Esq., longtime figure in Philadelphia
journalism. As creator, executive producer, and host, Gregg
brought her seasoned insights and legal acumen to the fore,
crafting a compelling half-hour weekly program that delved into
the pulse of regional issues. Each episode was a tapestry of in-
depth discussions on hot-button topics, alongside interviews with
influential figures shaping the community's narrative.


During its nearly five-year tenure, the show garnered acclaim and
accolades, underscoring its impact and relevance. Notably,
"Flashpoint" clinched two prestigious regional Murrow Awards,
alongside dual honors from the NABJ Salute to Excellence Awards
and a distinguished Pennsylvania Bar Award. Under Gregg's
guidance, the program expanded its footprint, syndicating across
five Audacy-owned stations in the Greater Philadelphia area and
included live events, thereby amplifying its reach and influence.


The legacy of "Flashpoint" endures through its archive of thought-
provoking episodes, which remain accessible to audiences
seeking informed perspectives on pivotal issues. Gregg's deft
ability to navigate complex topics with nuance and insight
ensured that "Flashpoint" not only informed but also inspired,
leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of local journalism.
