about cherri.

Cherri Gregg Mincey is a licensed attorney, freelance reporter and multimedia journalist. For eight years, Cherri worked as an intellectual property litigation associate for two Am-Law 100 law firms. She focused her practice on trademark, patent and other technology-focused commercial litigation matters. Aiding in the successful representation of a number of Fortune 500 clients, she was a part of litigation teams that represented a major home appliance manufacturer, one of the world's largest package delivery companies, as well as a number of pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Although Cherri enjoyed the practice of law, her true passion is broadcast journalism. In January 2010, Cherri quit her job at a top Philadelphia law firm to pursue her passion full-time.

Cherri is currently in her fourth semester of Temple University's Masters in Journalism program. She has performed well in the program, receiving the Louis Schiller Journalism Award from the Journalism Department in Spring 2010. More recently, Cherri was selected to be a 2011 Meredith-Cronkite Fellow. She was one of only 12 minority student journalists nationwide to receive a stipend and broadcast journalism training at CBS's KPHO 5 in Phoenix, AZ.

In addition to her studies, Cherri works part-time as a reporter for KYW Newsradio, one of the most listened tostations in the Philadelphia area. Cherri travels around the Delaware Valley reporting on a variety of issues of interest to KYW 1060 AM listeners.

Originally from Capitol Heights, Maryland, Cherri is a graduate of Boston University's College of Communication and Howard University School of Law. She believes in hard work, being honest and living with passion. She loves to travel, make wine with her husband Kevin and experience new adventures.
